: Program Development Specialist
Immediate Supervisor
: Executive Director (ED)
Nature of Duties
-
Program Development – this is the central responsibility - to develop and promote programs to increase ministry outreach and effectively utilize our facilities and natural environment to accomplish our purpose and mission.

Within the mission, vision and values of LLCC, to organize, implement and evaluate educational functions, activities, and programs as a camp, retreat center, and cottager community, and to recommend improvements for effectiveness.

Recruit and maintain a pool of engaging and reliable camp deans, speakers, workshop leaders and musicians to enhance the camping and retreat experience.

Hire, train, and supervise professional and volunteer staff, in concert with the ED, paying attention to staff member development.

Accomplish organizational and strategic planning with the ED, Operations Director, and Board of Trustees.

Develop effective policies and procedures for the educational and spiritual formation sphere, working with others to accomplish initiatives in this area.

Assist the ED and staff with promotion, fundraising, and website development.

Other duties as assigned by the ED.
Qualifications
:
The Program Development Specialist is a skilled educator and communicator able to develop, market and promote effective programs. The PDS demonstrates mature judgment and is knowledgeable about issues of childhood, adolescent and adult development and spiritual formation, and skilled at addressing them. Must have a solid work ethic and an ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people in a variety of situations. Must be a relationship builder and able to work collaboratively.
Specifically:

Proven program development and marketing skills, coupled with effective leadership and administrative abilities.

Ability and desire to work in an organization with the mission, vision and goals of Lake Louise (Mission, Vision and Core Value Statements attached.)

B.A. required, M.A. or M. Div degree preferred.

Flexible and adaptive in accommodating the time and fluctuating demands of a seasonal endeavor, and willing to travel

Effective written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with electronic communications.

Ability to plan and organize with a variety of people in a variety of spheres
